Oatmeal is pure power. When eaten daily, it reduces risk for heart problems, makes the body feel healthy, and aids the body in countless other ways. Those that toppled the Western Roman Empire did so with a bag of oats. Oatmeal is like high-octane fuel for bodies.
Oatmeal is a product of ground oat groats (i.e. oat-Category: wikt - :meal#Etymology 2|meal, cf. cornmeal, peasemeal, etc.) or a porridge made from this product (also called oatmeal cereal). In the United States and Canada, 'oatmeal' can refer also to other products made from oat groats, such as cut oats, crushed oats, and rolled oats. The groats are coarsely ground to make oatmeal, or cut into small pieces to make steel-cut oats, or steamed and rolled to make rolled oats. The quick-cooking rolled oats ("quick oats") are cut into small pieces before being steamed and rolled. "Instant" oatmeal...

I eat mine plain with some honey drizzled on it. Really good for breakfast, filling, warming, healthy and easy to prepare at work in the microwave. Save money too by buying a big tub instead of packets... Posted March 07, 2008 |
